Meet Seneca!

From Seneca's mom:

Seneca (formerly Katerina), was found wandering around upstate SC with her five puppies. She ended up in a kill shelter and was rescued, along with a few of her puppies, by SQ Rescue, a foster-based rescue in Columbia, SC. Her puppies were adopted very quickly but she stuck around for six more months, waiting for us to adopt her. She was heart worm positive and was extremely skittish. Unbeknownst to us, she also had the worst case of storm anxiety we had ever heard of, injuring herself while attempting to escape out of our house, and even succeeding on multiple occasions. We worked through a lot of her anxiety alongside our vet, trying everything possible from a Thundershirt to medication to holistic alternatives. It’s still something we deal with on a daily basis, but she is the sweetest dog we could have ever asked for, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
